
In 2026, U-Dig Fossils will be open on the following days during our dig it hours: March 20 & 21 and March 27th & 28, ahead of our full season.

Our 2026 Season will begin March 30 and run until October 24th. During this time, we will be open Mon. - Sat. of every week. Please note our dig it hours: we will be closed on the 4th of July, and our quarry is closed on Sundays.

U-Dig will be open for three additional days before we close for the winter: Friday, October 30, Saturday, November 7, and Saturday, November 14. For those interested in our dig it hours, please note that while we are closed for the winter season, private tours may still be available, depending on weather. Contact us for more details.

The U-DIG Fossils Quarry is located approximately 52 miles west of Delta, Utah, near Antelope Springs. It is about 142 miles from Provo, Utah, to the quarry and approximately 182 miles from Salt Lake City to the quarry. Be sure to check the dig it hours before your visit to plan accordingly.
Once in Delta, you'll travel 32 miles west on Highway 6/50. At the U-Dig Fossil Sign, located between mile markers 56-57, turn north. Then, travel 20 miles down a well-maintained gravel road to reach the U-Dig trilobite quarry. There are U-Dig signs posted along the 20 miles of gravel road to keep you on the correct route. Any type of vehicle can travel this gravel road.

Please bear in mind that our gate will close promptly at 6 pm. Visitors wanting to dig in the evening will need to arrive by 3:45 in order to be out by close.
